Into the wild

but is shown to have become disenchanted with modern society after discovering he and his sister Carine were born out of wedlock when his father was married to another woman. Shortly afterwards, he rejects his conventional life by destroying all of his credit cards and identification documents. He donates nearly all of his savings to Oxfam and sets out on a cross-country trip to experience life in the wilderness. McCandless does not tell his parents, Walt and Billie, nor Carine what he is doing or where he is going and refuses to keep in touch with them after his departure, causing his parents to become increasingly anxious and eventually desperate.

How does the main character discover oneself?

McCandless finds himself on a journey to meet people, working in different places, exchanging knowledge and starting a new life. He realizes that real life cannot be learned from schools or universities. Later, he decides to continue his journey to Alaska to live alone in the forest. This makes him discover himself and learn the true human way of life.

How are the characters changed at the end of the journey ?

We can see that McCandless has many experiences from his journey, but that is not enough for him to live in the wild alone. We can see that he is having fun with his life. He can use all the knowledge from the experiences that he worked on in his journey. In the end he is very happy to live his life alone from modern society.

In June 1995, despite a lack of hiking experience, recent divorcée Cheryl Strayed left Minneapolis, Minnesota, hikes 1,100 miles of the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

During the hike, Strayed reflects in flashbacks on her childhood in Minnesota and memories of her mother, Bobbi Grey. Bobbi's death from cancer sent Cheryl into a deep depression that she tried to numb with heroin and anonymous sex, eventually destroying her marriage to her husband Paul. After finding out she was pregnant, she got an abortion and resolved to hike the trail to redeem herself.

When Cheryl first leaves home, she still doesn't understand and faces many obstacles in her journey. After being already away for a while, she meets a friend on her journey. The people she meets support her. learning from the journey, She realizes that her life is not like before even though the boyfriend who broke up with her always worried and helped her. At first she was a bit skeptical of men but after being saved by a farmer, she changed her mind. The people she meets along the way gave her a better understanding of friendship. She finally realizes that her life is  worth it.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Walter Mitty is a negative assets manager at Life magazine living alone in New York City. He chronically daydreams and has a secret crush on Cheryl Melhoff, a coworker. Walter attempts to contact Cheryl via eHarmony but eHarmony customer service agent Todd Mahar explains that Walter's account is not fully filled out: the "been there" and "done that" sections are blank.

Walter works with legendary photojournalist Sean O'Connell, although they have never met in person. At work later that day, Walter receives a negative roll from Sean with a wallet as a gift in appreciation of Walter's work over the years. A letter from Sean explains that he believes negative #25 captures the "quintessence of Life" and should be used for the cover of the magazine's final print issue before it becomes exclusively digital, yet the negative is missing from the roll. Ted Hendricks, the obnoxious manager of the magazine's transition, has also heard Sean's recommendation. When he asks about #25, Walter stalls and lies, worried about being fired. Walter then asks Cheryl for help, and she says that Walter uses the other negatives as clues to Sean's location. One negative contains the name of a ship registered in Greenland, and Walter reluctantly takes a plane there.

Walter is a Time employee who daydreams about portraying himself as a hero or taking on dangerous adventures. But he never really thought and dared to do it. But after he set out to find the missing film He dared to do anything he ever imagined. He jumped onto the helicopter. Jump from a helicopter into the sea where there are sharks. to get on the boat and continue on the journey. He had seen the beautiful nature. He got to know himself. Learn to dare to do things that you have never dared to do. After leaving for the Himalayas He saw many different ways of life. The journey taught and molded him into a new man. He met Sean and Sean taught him life lessons. That made him discover himself.

Walter was more confident. From the past, he was a quiet person and rarely played a role. In the end he went through many adventures. This made him on the cover of Time magazine, giving him the courage to speak his heart to the people he loves. or even say what he really thinks

10,000 BC

Circa 10,000 BC, a hunter-gatherer tribe called the Yagahl live in the Ural Mountains and survive by hunting woolly mammoths. The tribe is led by a hunter who has killed a mammoth single-handedly and earned the White Spear, and venerate Old Mother, an elderly woman with shamanistic powers. When the mammoths finally return, D'Leh hunts them with the men of the tribe under Tic'Tic's leadership, and manages to kill one by accident, inadvertently winning both the White Spear and marriage to Evolet. The village believes Old Mother's prophecy is coming true, but D'Leh is consumed by guilt for not earning the White Spear fairly. After speaking with Tic'Tic, he gives up the White Spear, forfeiting his marriage to Evolet. The next day, horse-raiders attack the camp, enslaving Evolet and several others and killing many of the tribe. D'Leh, Tic'Tic, Ka'Ren and young boy Baku set out to rescue their fellow Yagahl

D-Leh successfully helped his crew from the colonized city. He won the war and He was appointed as the chief of the tribe. more responsible. Having friendship with another tribe. Possessing a holy white spear. The Yagahl bid farewell to the other tribes and return home with seeds given to them by the Naku to start a new life.

Alpha

Keda and his tribe set out to hunt for winter supplies. The hunters eventually reach a herd of steppe bison, which they attempt to stampede off a cliff in relative success. Amidst the chaos, the bull rushes towards Keda and tosses him over the edge, leaving him gripping the rough cliff edge with his hand. Keda loses his grip and plummets to a further ledge where he appears to break his leg and is knocked unconscious. Tau attempts to climb down to him, but he is stopped by a fellow hunter who assures him in good faith that Keda is dead and there would be no way to reach him nonetheless. The tribe leaves and Tau performs another funeral ritual, stricken with grief. Keda is awoken by a vulture who mistakes him for dead. he realizes he must travel back to the village by himself.

He was abandoned because the people of the tribe thought he was dead.

After Keda was abandoned because the tribe thought he was dead, he had to try to survive on his own. With a weak body, he was attacked by wolves. But he defended himself and wounded a wolf. But his tender heart prevented him from leaving it to die. That made him understand how the wounded wolf was left behind by its pack. So he rescued him, healed his wounds, and gave him food and water. That makes him a partner to join him on adventures everywhere. He learned to survive. and grow on their own After a long time with his partner That made him realize that his wolf was loyal and his best friend. He even gave his life for him.

Keda got a duo, His new friend Alpha. For the first time, humans have learned that dogs are man's best friend. Keda is more mature. Keda learns more about the world. Learn how to survive. Now he is a true strong man. And gonna be the next chief of the tribe.

Love and Monsters

Joel lives in one of many bunkers underground called "colonies", where all survivors but he have romantically paired up with each other while fighting monsters and seeking supplies. Joel instead is left behind in the kitchen, as he freezes in dangerous situations. When a giant ant breaches his colony, killing Connor, Joel sets off on a quest to reunite with Aimee so he doesn't end up alone.

In this story, the main characters are constantly changing. Initially, when giant insects invaded Colony, Joel hid in the kitchen because he was too scared, causing Joel to watch his friend die with nothing he could do. Reminds him of his girlfriend, who had been separated since the meteorite crash, Joel decided to leave Colony. That was the first step of his courage. After he leaves, he will fight many monsters. That made him grow stronger and stronger.

Joel has no more fear. He has knowledge about monsters he met. He writes every detail about the outside world in his handbook. And now he can stand and fight with the monster. He also got his best friend “Boy” ( A Dog ) He designed to continue his journey with his girlfriend. He makes people come out of the colony and fight with monsters to get our home back.

Life of Pi

When Pi is 16, his father announces that they must move to Canada, where he intends to settle and sell the animals. The family books passage with the animals on a Japanese freighter. During a storm, the ship founders while Pi is on deck. He tries to find his family, but a crewman throws him into a lifeboat. A freed zebra jumps onto the boat with him, breaking its leg. The ship sinks into the Mariana Trench, drowning his family. Pi briefly sees what appears to be a survivor, but it turns out to be Richard Parker. After the storm, Pi awakens in the lifeboat with the zebra and is joined by a resourceful orangutan. A spotted hyena emerges from under a tarpaulin covering half of the lifeboat and snaps at Pi, forcing him to retreat to the end of the boat. The hyena kills the zebra and later the orangutan. Richard Parker emerges from under the tarpaulin, killing the hyena before retreating back to cover, and the Journey begins.

Pi is a multi-religious person. That made him change all the time. At first, his father, Pi, taught him to be afraid of what he should be afraid of. At that point, Pi tried to play with the tiger. His father had let the goat into the tiger's cage and forced Pi to stand there watching the goat maul to death in cold blood, causing Pi to change his mind. He is a person with a cloud-eyed mind. But after several months at sea he had to live with a tiger on a small boat in the middle of the sea. That made him start to find the courage in him. But when he found himself and accepted the truth, it was now that his tiger had run away after three months of being on the boat.

Pi has many religions. Pi is a good hearted person. After he sees Richard Parker kill a goat in cool blood he changes his mind and becomes compassionate for animals. He understands the life cycle and food chain. The hunter is still going to be a hunter no matter how you treat them. Pi tries to save another animal from Richard Parker, but he does not make it. This makes him understand that hunters do not see you as a friend. After 3 month in the middle of the sea makes him stronger and he can control Richard Parker. Eventually reaching the coast of Mexico. Pi is saddened that Richard Parker does not acknowledge him before disappearing into the jungle.

The Revenant

During late 1823, Hugh Glass guides Captain Andrew Henry's trappers through the territory of the present-day Dakotas. While he and his half-Pawnee son, Hawk, are hunting, the company's camp is attacked by an Arikara war party which is seeking to recover its Chief's abducted daughter, Powaqa. Many of the trappers are killed during the fight, while the rest of them escape onto a boat. Guided by Glass, the survivors travel on foot to Fort Kiowa, because he believes that traveling downriver will make them vulnerable. After docking, the crew stashes the pelts near the shore. While scouting the game, Glass is mauled by a grizzly bear and left near death. And he struggles to survive. battling his grievous wounds. to live on and take revenge on his son who was murdered in cold blood.

Hugh was a warm-hearted person at first. He loved his son very much. But his son is half Indian. That's why he and his children are often subjected to racist abuse. After Hugh was mauled by a bear, he was seriously injured. and his child was killed by a colleague. With that, he could only look and could do nothing because his wounds were too severe. After that was the turning point of this character. That made him try to survive. so that he could have a chance to avenge his son.

In his mind one thing he always thinks is missing his son and the promise to get revenge for him. After he survives and gets revenge, he resigns and goes back to his home and lays down in bed thinking about his son and wife.
